Edit a Build Definition
Required Permissions
To edit a build definition, you must have the Edit Build Definition permission set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.
To edit a build definition
In Team Explorer, expand the Builds node, right-click the build definition, and then click Edit Build Definition.
Click one of the following tabs:
Click General to change the name of the build or to modify the description.
Click Trigger to display or modify the trigger of your build definition.

Click Workspace to display or modify the workspace of this build definition.
For more information, see Work with Build Workspaces.
Click Build Defaults to display or modify the build controller and drop folder of the build definition.
For more information, see Create and Work with a Build Controller and Set Up Drop Folders.
Click Process to display or modify what this build definition does.
For more information, see Define a Build Using the Default Template and Define a Build Using the Upgrade Template.
Click Retention Policy to display or modify the current retention policy for failed, stopped, partially successful, or fully successful build outcomes.
When you are finished, press Ctrl+S.
