Exercise - Configure number series for warehouse documents
This exercise uses the CRONUS sample company from the US version of Business Central. You might need to adjust the steps if you use the sample company from your country/region.
Scenario
Because you enabled the inventory put-away and inventory pick documents for the SOUTH warehouse, you must set up a number series to number these documents.
You received the following configuration from the warehouse manager.

After creating the new number series, you will assign them in the inventory setup.
Tasks
Create the new number series and assign them in the inventory setup.
Steps
Select the Search for Page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, enter no. series, and then select the related link.
Select New.
In the Code field, enter IP.
In the Description field, enter Inventory put-away.
Select the Default Nos. check box.
Select the Starting No. field.
In the Starting No. field, enter IP001.
In the Ending No. field, enter IP999.
Repeat steps 2 through 8 for all other number series.
Select the Search for Page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, enter inventory setup, and then select the related link.
Expand the Numbering FastTab and then select Show more to show all fields.
Enter the new number series in the relevant fields.
