Comentários

Use um TimerCallback delegado para especificar o método que é chamado por um Timer. Esse método não é executado no thread que criou o temporizador; ele é executado em um thread de pool de threads separado fornecido pelo sistema. O TimerCallback delegado invoca o método uma vez após o término da hora de início e continua a invocá-lo uma vez por intervalo de temporizador até que o Dispose método seja chamado ou até que o Timer.Change método seja chamado com o valor Infinitede intervalo .

Observação

Os retornos de chamada podem ocorrer depois que a sobrecarga do Dispose() método tiver sido chamada, porque o temporizador enfileira retornos de chamada para execução por threads do pool de threads. Você pode usar a sobrecarga do Dispose(WaitHandle) método para aguardar até que todos os retornos de chamada sejam concluídos.

O delegado de temporizador é especificado quando o temporizador é construído e não pode ser alterado. A hora de início de um Timer é passada no dueTime parâmetro dos Timer construtores e o período é passado no period parâmetro .
