Understand demo mode in Copilot for Finance in Outlook (preview)

This article describes the demo mode feature in Microsoft 365 Copilot for Finance. Demo mode lets customers use the Copilot for Finance Outlook add-in to try Copilot for Finance's capabilities. Demo mode doesn't require that users sign in to an existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool. While users are in demo mode, they don't have full feature parity with users who are signed into the ERP tool. However, most of the capabilities are available for them to try.
Enable demo mode
To enable Copilot for Finance demo mode, follow these steps.
- From an email, select the Apps button on the menu, and then select Copilot for Finance.
- On the Welcome page, select Try demo mode.
Demo mode Scenarios
Demo mode lets users validate the following scenarios:
- Generative AI for email composition and summarization
- Review of account details from support back-end ERP tools
- Navigation patterns for creating and saving records
- Invoice and related search
Demo configuration limitations
The following values are preconfigured. They're used to provide guidance about the functionality of the application.
- Fabrikam and Contoso are preconfigured as customers.
- Brad Sutton and Adele Vance are preconfigured as contacts.
- All account details are preconfigured. These details include addresses, aged balances, outstanding invoices, and recent activities.
