Managing Staging Projects
For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.
This section describes those actions you can take from the Commerce Server Staging (CSS) Microsoft Management Console (MMC) to manage staging projects. Project management actions include starting and stopping a project replication, deleting a project, and refreshing the project list.
As soon as a project is created, you can manually start or stop project replication. You can also initiate project replication so that all project servers are updated at the same time regardless of time zone.
For Web content projects, you can also perform the following two tasks:
Initiate timed release of project replication so that all project servers are updated at the same time regardless of time zone.
Initiate a rollback. You perform rollbacks on endpoint servers to undo changes that were made by CSS, for example, if you found errors in the last deployment.
CSS only supports timed release and rollbacks of Web content projects. It does not support these options for business data projects.
Note
You must set CSS credentials on each server where you want to manage a project. These credentials require CSS administrator or operator rights on that server.
