This section describes the IWMDRMDeviceApp interface and IWMDRMDeviceApp2 interface that provide communication mechanisms between a metering application and devices that support Windows Media DRM 10 for Portable Devices.

The application or Windows Media Player calls this interface.

Interface Description
IWMDRMDeviceApp Enables applications to communicate with devices that support Windows Media DRM 10 for Portable Devices.
IWMDRMDeviceApp2 Extends IWMDRMDeviceApp by providing a method that enables the caller to specify which status to query for.
