Creating a Custom Performance Monitor for Communicator Web Access
Tópico modificado em: 2009-03-06
Unlike the performance monitors found in the Office Communications Server administrative tools, you cannot permanently modify the default set of performance counters for the performance monitors embedded in the Communicator Web Access snap-in. Although you can add and delete performance counters, your changes stay in effect only as long as the Communicator Web Access snap-in is running. If you close and then reopen the snap-in, each performance monitor reverts back to its default set of counters.
If you would like to routinely use a customized set of performance counters, you need to create a custom instance of Performance Monitor.
To create a custom monitor on a computer running Windows Server 2008
Log on to the computer that is running Communicator Web Access. You must log on as a member of the local Administrators group and the RTCUniversalServerAdmins group.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Run dialog box, type perfmon, and then press ENTER.
In the console tree, click Performance Monitor.
Right-click the set of performance counters listed at the bottom of the Performance Monitor instance, and then click Remove All Counters.
Follow the procedure for adding a performance counter to add the desired performance counters to the new instance of Performance Monitor.
Click File, and then click Save As.
In the Save As dialog box, select a folder, and then type a name for the customized instance of Performance Monitor.
Make sure that Microsoft Management Console Files (*.msc) is selected in the Save as type drop-down list, and then click Save.
