The Live Meeting conference center is the server that hosts all Live Meeting sessions conducted in one registered organization. When the organization subscribes to the Live Meeting services, it receives a unique URL as the Web address of its conference center. Typically, the URL is of the following form, where <conference_center> stands for the organizations name registered with Live Meeting.

https://www.livemeeting.com/cc/<conference_center>

To join a meeting, a participant navigates to such a URL in a Web browser.

To manage meetings programmatically, however, a different URL must be used. This is because any API call must first be processed by the Live Meeting service API processor for the conference center. To obtain this URL, send a GetPostingURLRequest message to your Live Meeting conference center. The desired URL is then returned as a GetPostingURLReply element. For more information, see the GetPostingURL message.
