Disaster recovery for Planning Server databases

Atualizado em: 2009-04-30

There is only one system database for all the Planning Server system. The system database contains the PerformancePoint Planning application information and the Planning Server security information. Although each application database also contains security data that relates to that application, the system database contains the master copy of the security data. All Planning applications might share some security data in the system database.

There is only one service database for all the Planning Server system. The service database contains Serviço de Processo do Planning processing logging and auditing job information. Serviço de Processo do Planning also processes the workflow job data in each application database. All applications feed their logging and auditing requests into the one service database. However, Serviço de Processo do Planning does not depend on the service database alone. It processes requests in both the service database (logging and auditing) and the application database (workflow jobs request).

The OLAP database can be regenerated if it becomes corrupted. Every model site inside each application can have its own OLAP database and each can be on a different OLAP database server. You can also have an application or model site that has only one OLAP database.
