About Active Directory User Discovery

Configuration Manager 2007 Active Directory User Discovery searches Active Directory Domain Services for user accounts and associated attributes.

You can configure the user attributes that Active Directory User Discovery returns in Active Directory User Discovery Properties on the Active Directory Attribute tab. By default, the following attributes are collected:

  • User name

  • DNS host name

  • Object class

  • Active Directory domain

  • Active Directory container name

Active Directory User Discovery actions are recorded in the file adusrdis.log in the <InstallationPath>\LOGS folder on the site server.
