Mappoint: Do you know where you are?

I heard about the launch of an Australian MapPoint service a couple of weeks ago, but I hadn't played with it until now. I was just using the US MapPoint to pinpoint my friend, Kamil, in New York and I was amazed at its speed and ease of use. The zooming and panning are super fast.

The possibilities provided by this vast storage of information when combined with some location finding device are huge. Check out this 'cellphone to web service to web page' example from MapPoint Technical Evangelist Steve Lombardi.

The good news for developers is that MSDN subscribers can get access to the MapPoint web services for free for a whole year.

Where am I? Here.
