IKEA Launches MVNO in the UK

IKEA has teamed up with T-Mobile to launch a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) service in the UK.  Unlike their other products their Mobile service comes ready to go rather than you having to assemble it with a screwdriver and dowels :)

All of the IKEA 9,500 UK Staff are being given a mobile phone with 5 pounds of credit on it.

The service for new customers will be a simplified pay as you go service with an initial 10 pounds credit being required.

Virgin who are already partnering with T-Mobile have 435,000 subscribers so it'll be interesting to see how this IKEA MVNO develops!
