Whitepaper Post in MSDN Library – Parallel Programming

The 2nd in our Whitepaper awareness blog posts is around Parallel Programming, authored by Ranjan Sen.  Parallel programming is an extension of sequential programming and is becoming the mainstream paradigm in day-to-day information processing. Its aim is to build the fastest programs on parallel computers. The methodologies for developing a parallel program can be put into integrated frameworks. This paper discusses the basic issues in developing parallel programs and the technologies available.

    There has been a good amount of focus lately on the importance of Parallel Computing. The shift to multi-core
