Display Only HTML
Sorry I haven’t blogged for a while. There haven’t been a
lot of quick links to blog about, and Dennis
Cheung has beaten me to the punch
on others. I’ve also been a tad bit under the weather, and my scant free time
has been largely consumed by staying up on current
events.
However, in the wee hours of the day, Wayne Kao blogged about one of those “First
on the Mac” features
in Word. Win Word calls this “Filtered HTML.” Mac Word calls this “Display-only”
HTML. The easiest way to get to this in Mac Word is to select “Save as Web
Page...” on the File menu, and click on the “Save only display information into
HTML” radio button.
As a hint, you can select View/Source in your browser on most
of my posts and see Word-generated HTML. If you look closely on some, you can
tell which version of Word I’m using.
