David Pless is a Senior Premier Field Engineer at Microsoft focusing on performance and optimization, high availability / disaster recovery, and reporting services. David has supported
SQL Server since 1999 first supporting SQL Server on 6.5 / 7.0 as a Crystal Reports developer and application DBA. In his next role, David supported a SQL Server 2000 / 2005 environment at CheckFree Corporation in Atlanta as a
Database Administrator before becoming a consultant in 2003. David was hired by Microsoft as a Premier Field Engineer in 2006 and currently lives in Florida supporting the Southeast.

When David is not supporting SQL Server he is taking care of five kids, four of them in Florida playing soccer and another in school in Atlanta. David also does web development, and video
work on the side and helping his wife manage their soccer club website and supporting the local soccer club.

David is a follower of all things tech, loves stand-up comedy, hard rock, and is an otherwise zombie fanatic
and supporter of AUburn University and his Atlanta Falcons.
