Coming November 29: Accelerated Prep for Microsoft Certified Master: SQL Server 2008

As an experienced SQL Server IT Pro looking to become a Microsoft Certified Master (MCM), wouldn’t you appreciate some expert help as you prepare for the Knowledge Exam and Lab Exam?  With the Accelerated Exam Preparation program from Microsoft, that help is now available – and convenient! Starting November 29, a scheduled series of live online sessions with a SQL MCM presenter (presenters to be announced later) will focus on one of the seven exam topic areas each week, in two weekly sessions of two hours each, for seven weeks -- with time for Q&A after each session. Plus, we offer practice lab subscriptions with twenty labs and two months of lab access, providing an easy to use, anytime access lab environment in which you can practice the required skills associated with the weekly exam topics.  Convenience, affordability and top-notch instruction begin November 29, so register NOW, as places are limited in the weekly sessions.

Available today: Hands-on Practice Labs for Microsoft Certified Master: SQL Server 2008

Looking to access the SQL Server MCM practice labs, but without a two-month time commitment? The hands-on labs used in the Accelerated Prep  training series are also available right now in on week or one month increments. The labs cover advanced SQL Server topics geared to helping you prepare for the pursuit of advanced certification. The recorded sessions and session files are made available only to the registered attendees. Check out the readiness materials on our New Path to Master Certification page:www.microsoft.com/.../master-sql-path.aspx The readiness includes a number of free videos you can download and recommendations for other materials.

Hi Didier. We have not yet planned any further sessions of this. We will make that decision based on how well this first series goes. If there is sufficient demad for it, we will most likely deliver future sessions on it. We are cosnidering making recordings of the sessions available for offline viewing. I do not yet know whether that will be accpetible to all involved parties. I'm 100% behind it because my goal is to help people get prepared for the MCM exams.

Are there any plans to add the same training opportunities for the Exchange MCM program? I'd sign up right now.

How will this training compare to the free videos at sqlskills.com/T_MCMVideos.asp Will the instructors be the same?  Will the material be the same, or more/less advanced? Thanks, Dave

Thanks Robert. My only certain about taking this training is the depth in which is covers the material.   Whilst the SQL Skills videos covered a lot in terms of breadth of material, they spend a lot of time on about fairly simple areas of the topics ie, things you should probably already know before commencing the training  and therefore weren't able to cover any one topic in great depth. Are you able to comment on this aspect of the new training?  Our training budget isn't huge, and I want to spend it wisely. Dave

Hi Robert Is there any way i could get a hard copy or website to download the training sessions and labs. Attending is out of question as I stay in India, plus our internet isnt always reliable. I sincerely dont mind paying for it please, though I am pursuing this Certification through my own funds I truly know its worth it. Would it be asking if you could give me any site which can help me with more exam oriented study labs and sessions other than SQLservercentral SQLskills ( unfortunately there again Paul and Kim dont have downloads or hard copies for sale for their Immerse sessions) beyondrelational, brentozar, pluralsite, solidqor the pass forum.
