Business value

Encourage your company to reduce its carbon footprint and become more environmentally sustainable. You can put an internal price on carbon emissions to incentivize your company or individual organizational units to find ways to reduce those emissions and save money.

Feature details

Using the carbon fee feature in Microsoft Sustainability Manager, you can visualize and understand the costs of your organization’s emissions by scope and by facility, country or region, or organizational unit. The fee is an internal company carbon fee that your company charges itself for each unit of carbon dioxide that it emits. You can set fees by scope or flat across scopes

Calculated carbon fees display in the Executive dashboard and Emissions insights dashboard. They include allocations by country/region, by organizational unit, and by facility. For example, if you select By organizational unit on the dashboard, you can see and compare the monetary impact of emissions across various organizational units. Use the insights to promote transparency around your internal costs of emissions and make more exacting decisions about reductions.
