Comentários
The buffer manager is responsible for allocating, managing, and deleting the IDTSBuffer100 objects used by the data flow task and the data flow components, from a source through to the destination. It provides utility functions for registering buffer types, locating columns in a buffer, retrieving metadata about a column in a buffer, and creating private buffers that are used internally by the component that requests the private buffer.
Managed data flow component developers use the buffer manager primarily to locate columns in a PipelineBuffer that were defined in the IDTSInput100 and IDTSOutput100 objects of the component. Managed component developers do not use the buffer manager to create IDTSBuffer100 objects because managed components do not interact directly with the IDTSBuffer100 objects created by the buffer manager. Managed components use the managed PipelineBuffer class that marshals data between managed and native code.
