Add or remove build quality values

One way you can manage your completed builds is to manually rate the quality of each build. For example, depending on the outcome of a set of manual tests, you could rate a completed build's quality as Ready for Deployment, Rejected, or Under Investigation. By rating the quality of completed builds, you enable team members to filter the Build Explorer window to show only builds with specific quality ratings.

For information about how to rate the quality of a completed build, see Rate the quality of a completed build.

The following are the pre-defined build quality values that you can assign to completed builds:

  • Initial Test Passed

  • Lab Test Passed

  • Ready for Deployment

  • Ready for Initial Test

  • Rejected

  • Released

  • UAT Passed

  • Under Investigation

You can remove any one of these build quality values, and you can also add your own values.

To perform this procedure, your Edit build quality permission must be set to Allow. For more information, see Permission reference for Team Foundation Server.
