Approve a Declined Update for Installation

If an administrator declines an update in the Consola de administrador do Windows Intune™, that update is removed from all default list views in the Updates workspace. If you decide later to install the update on one or more groups of computers, you can approve the update.

Nota

If an update was declined because the update was expired in Microsoft Update, that update cannot be approved in the Consola de administrador do Windows Intune.

To locate a declined update and approve it for installation on a group of computers

  1. Open the Consola de administrador do Windows Intune.

  2. In the workspace shortcuts pane, click the Updates icon.

  3. In the navigation pane, select All Updates, or if you know the classification type, in the navigation pane, click the classification type. You can also use the Search feature to locate the update or a list of updates in the classification.

  4. In the Filters list, select Declined. The list of all declined updates (in that classification, if they are specified) is displayed in the management list.

  5. When you have located the declined update, click the update title. On the Update Properties page, you can review the properties to make sure you want to approve the update. If you decide to approve the update, click Approve in the Tasks pane.

To select multiple updates in the list, hold down the CTRL key and then click each update that you want to approve. In the menu bar, click Approve.

  6. In the Approve window, select the group for which you want to manage the approval of the update, and then select the following approval settings that apply:

    • Install. Installs the update on computers in the targeted group.

    • Do Not Install. The computer only reports applicability and neither installs nor uninstalls the update.

    • Uninstall. Removes the update from computers in the targeted group.

      Importante

The update is removed even if it was installed by using a method other than the Consola de administrador do Windows Intune.

    • Set Deadline. Specifies an installation deadline date and time.

    • Set Inheritance. Assigns approval option inheritance. By default, an approval option that is applied to a parent group will be applied to its direct and indirect child groups.

  7. The update status for the other groups (on which you do not want to install the update) does not change. Review the list to confirm that this is correct.

  8. Click OK to save the settings, or click Cancel to discard the settings and return to the updates management list.
