Event Type
Remarks
In the life cycle of connections, this event occurs after a page completes its loading process. It also occurs after the WebPartsConnected event, which indicates only that the WebPart or server controls involved in a specific connection have successfully connected. In a case where there are multiple connections on a page, the ConnectionsActivated method indicates that all the valid Web Parts connections on a page are now active and able to share data. Knowing that all connections are active, developers can carry out any number of tasks, including notifying users of the status of all the connections, notifying consumer controls to process and display data from their providers, and so on.
This event is associated with the OnConnectionsActivated method, which raises the event and allows developers to create custom handlers for the event.
Page developers can create a custom handler for the event by adding the OnConnectionsActivated
attribute to the <asp:webpartmanager>
element in the page, and then assigning a custom method name to the attribute.
