Элемент FormView управления вызывает ItemInserting событие при нажатии кнопки "Вставка" (кнопка со свойством CommandName "Вставка") в элементе управления, но перед FormView вставкой записи элементом управления. Это позволяет предоставить метод обработки событий, выполняющий настраиваемую подпрограмму, например кодировку HTML или проверку значений записи перед вставкой в источник данных при возникновении этого события.

FormViewInsertEventArgs Объект передается методу обработки событий, который позволяет определить значение необязательного аргумента команды, отправленного FormView в элемент управления, и указать, что операция вставки должна быть отменена. Чтобы определить значение аргумента команды, используйте CommandArgument свойство. Чтобы отменить операцию вставки, задайте Cancel для свойства значение true. Можно также считывать или изменять значения полей для новой записи с помощью Values свойства.
