Stop a query (Visual Database Tools)

Applies to: SQL Server

If you see that the query is taking too long or isn't returning the results you expect, you can stop the query if it hasn't already finished.

Stop a query

• Right-click anywhere in the Results pane (Visual Database Tools), on the shortcut menu point to Pane, and then select Clear Results.
