Create legal entities

Create the legal entities that represent the legal structure of your business. If you are using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or AX 2012 R2, legal entities must be configured in each partition.

1. Click Create legal entities in the initialization checklist or the partition initialization checklist, depending on which release of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 you are using.

2. Click New.

3. Enter a name.

4. Enter a company identifier in the Company field.

5. Press CTRL+S to save the record.
