Set up interest calculations

Use the following steps in Accounts receivable to set up interest calculations.
Click Accounts receivable > Setup > Accounts receivable parameters.
On the Collections tab, in the Interest calculation field, select the transactions to calculate interest for.
Click Accounts receivable > Setup > Collections > Interest.
Create interest codes with interest calculations.
For each interest code, enter values in relevant fields on the Earnings and Payments tabs. You can change the default values that appear in some of the fields. For more information about the fields, see Interest setup (form).
Click Accounts receivable > Setup > Customer posting profiles.
For each customer posting profile that you want to set up interest calculations for:
On the Table restrictions tab, select the Interest check box.
On the Setup tab, select a value in the Interest code field.
Click Accounts receivable > Setup > Forms > Form setup.
On the Interest note tab, enter values in the relevant fields about the format of company interest notes.
