Messages in the discovery service

Messages are used with the discovery service Execute method. All messages available in the discovery web service for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online 2015 Update apply to all deployment types.

The following table lists the messages that are supported with Execute method. Each message derives from the abstract base class DiscoveryRequest.

Description

RetrieveUserIdByExternalIdRequest

Retrieves the logged-on user's ID in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. This message is available in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online only.

RetrieveOrganizationRequest

Retrieves information about a single organization.

RetrieveOrganizationsRequest

Retrieves information about all organizations to which the user belongs.
