How to Enable or Disable a Shipping Method

You may want to keep a shipping method in your system without deleting the method, but you may not want that shipping method to be available for use. You can enable the shipping method (make it active) or disable the shipping method (make it inactive) in your system. After you enable or disable a shipping method, you must refresh the site cache before Commerce Server can update the status of the shipping method.
To enable or disable a shipping method
Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and then click Customer and Orders Manager.
In Commerce Server Customer and Orders Manager, in the Views pane, click Shipping Methods.
In the Shipping Methods pane, right-click the shipping method that you want to enable or disable, and then click Enable or Disable.
The status of the shipping method as enabled or disabled appears in the Preview Details pane.
To refresh the site cache
In Commerce Server Customer and Orders Manager, in the Views pane, click Shipping Methods.
In the Tasks pane, click Refresh Site Cache.
