Hi! I am looking for a way to quickly and easlily highlight certain files (pictures in this case) in a folder, similar to how you can color mark them on a Mac. I noticed in the default photos app you can favourite them (heart symbol), but I can't find a way to use that for sorting, or to somehow display which files in a folder are favourited.

Then when I right click a file there in another favourite button?? (star symbol). That one doesn't seem to do anything at all when clicked.

Is there any way to quickly and convineintly highlight or mark selecten files in a folder like that?

Hi,Joel! I'm Luis, a fellow Microsoft Community Member . Thanks for reaching us out here.

I recommend you use the Folder Marker Free App that mimics that Mac functions. I´ve been using it for years and quite like it :)
