CodeDOM kan användas för att skapa kod som genererar XML-dokumentation. Processen innebär att skapa CodeDOM-grafen som innehåller XML-dokumentationskommentarerna, generera koden och kompilera den genererade koden med kompileringsalternativet som skapar XML-dokumentationens utdata.
