Plan and prepare for Dynamics 365 Human Resources in 2024 release wave 1

Important

The 2024 release wave 1 plan covers new functionalities that Microsoft plans to deliver from April 2024 to September 2024. In this article, you see the product overview and what's new and planned for Dynamics 365 Human Resources.

Overview

Work and the workplace have fundamentally changed. Yet, many businesses still use outdated HR processes. Today, people connect through mobile devices and plug into their networks. They have higher expectations for their career paths and want to work for organizations that share their values.

Legacy human capital management (HCM) systems create disconnects and silo data across HR architectures. These architectures often include solutions from multiple vendors. Many processes remain manual, and the employee experience lacks connection. When employees face disruption, the organization suffers from a lack of product innovation, costly operational errors, less satisfied customers, and weaker financial results.

Our goal is to reduce manual processes and connect employee experiences. We bring systems together so data is available and not siloed. We want to help employees focus on their work, inspire managers to help employees grow, and support HR business partners as they focus on strategic areas of the organization.

For 2024 release wave 1, we focus on:

  • Improving recruiting experiences with rich and intuitive experiences for recruiters, candidates, and hiring managers.
  • Expanding the HCM ecosystem by integrating learning management systems through public APIs that use Dataverse and by expanding our payroll partner network.
  • Building better together experiences that connect across the Dynamics 365 space.
