ICE Protocol Upgrade

The Interactive Connectivity Establishment (ICE) implementation for Office Communications Server 2007 R2 complies with the latest ICE draft. This enhancement makes it possible for Office Communications Server 2007 R2 users to call users on Office Communications Server 2007 or on VoIP unified communications phones that support the latest ICE draft without requiring a PSTN gateway to connect the endpoints. The following figure illustrates the main scenarios.
