This section provides information that will help you manage the Journaling agent in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 by using commands in the Exchange Management Shell.
Exchange Server 2007 lets you record all e-mail messages that move through computers that have the Hub Transport server role installed. This process, which is called journaling, is required by many companies because of legal and regulatory requirements. Journaling in Exchange Server 2007 is designed to enable the messaging administrator to feed messaging data into an Exchange mailbox or a third-party archiving solution, and, at the same time, minimize overhead.
