Use this tab to view or modify identity information for the mail contact.

Note

In various localized versions of the Exchange Management Console, the sequence of the following fields may differ.

  • First name
    Use this box to view or modify the first name of the recipient.
  • Initials
    Use this box to view or modify the middle initials of the recipient.
  • Last name
    Use this box to view or modify the last name of the recipient.
  • Name
    Use this box to view or modify the directory name of the recipient. This is the name that is listed in the Active Directory directory service.
  • Simple display name

    • Use this text box to view or modify the simple display name for the recipient.

    • In Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, the Display Name field can contain Unicode characters. Third-party applications and older clients may not support Unicode characters. If the system that is displaying the recipient properties does not support Unicode characters, the simple display name can be used. For more information about Unicode characters, see Unicode.

    • The simple display name field accepts only ASCII characters.

  • Web page
    Use this box to view or modify the Web page address for the recipient.
  • Notes
    Use this box to view or modify administrative notes about the recipient.

    Note

    These notes are also visible in Microsoft Outlook. When a user views the recipient's properties in Outlook, the notes will be displayed on the Phone/Notes tab.
