Use the Introduction page of the Move Storage Group Path wizard to provide locations to which to move your storage group's system and transaction log files. If you enabled local continuous replication (LCR) for this storage group, you can also use this page to provide locations to which to move your LCR system and log files. Any databases within the storage group are dismounted and remounted as part of the move.
Note
You can also use the Exchange Management Shell to move storage group log files. For more information, see Move-StorageGroupPath (RTM).
This wizard page contains the following settings.
- Storage group name
This read-only field displays your selected storage group name.
Log files location
This text box displays the location where your log files are currently stored. Click Browse to specify a location to which to move these files.Note
You cannot use the Exchange Management Console to change the log file location for remote Mailbox servers.
The log file location is where log files are written for the storage group. These log files record every change that is made to a database in that storage group.
- System files location
This text box displays the location where your system files are currently stored. By default, this location is the same as appears in the Log files location text box. Click Browse to specify a location to which to move these files.
Local continuous replication system files location
If LCR is enabled for this storage group, this text box is displayed and shows the location where your LCR system files are currently stored. Click Browse to specify a location to which to move these files.Note
This option is only available if LCR is enabled for this storage group.

Local continuous replication log files location
If LCR is enabled for this storage group, this text box is displayed and shows the location where your LCR log files are currently stored. Click Browse to specify a location to which to move these files.Note
