How to: Delete an Item (Report Manager)

You can delete folders and items that are published to a report server. Deleting items in Report Manager removes the items from the report server database. Items that you can delete include folders, reports, report models, shared data sources, and resources. Before you delete an item, consider whether other items depend on it. For example, if you delete a shared data source, reports and models that use that data source will no longer run. If you delete a report, subscriptions and report history associated with that report are also deleted.

To delete items in Report Manager, you must set the folder into the viewing mode that provides the Delete button.

To delete a report or item

  1. Start Report Manager.

  2. In Report Manager, navigate to the Contents page, and open the folder that contains the item you want to delete.

  3. Click Show Details.

  4. Select the check box next to the item you want to delete, and then click Delete.
