Working with Links and Attachments in Work Items
There are many ways that you can connect a work item to additional information. If you have a work item that needs a screen capture to illustrate the work needed, you can attach it. If you want to link from a work item to a server location, you can add the UNC Link. If a work item has to refer to additional documentation on the intranet, you can add the URL. All these make it easier for you to provide additional information in your work item. For example, if you are working on a team project with MSF for Agile Software Development, you may want to attach a storyboard document to a scenario work item, or a Visio diagram of a sample user interface to a quality of service requirement. For bugs, it is often helpful to attach a screenshot of the problem, or a related e-mail discussion.
