Men ett tillfälligt fel under frågekommandot gör att programmet tar bort anslutningen och skapar en ny anslutning innan du försöker köra frågekommandot igen. Funktionen sqlsrv_query() kan användas för att hämta en resultatuppsättning från en fråga mot SQL Database. Den här funktionen accepterar i princip alla frågor och anslutningsobjekt och returnerar en resultatuppsättning, som kan itereras med hjälp av sqlsrv_fetch_array().
