Send and Receive Data Incrementally with FILESTREAM (ODBC)
Applies to: SQL Server Azure SQL Database Azure SQL Managed Instance Azure Synapse Analytics Analytics Platform System (PDW)
This sample shows how to use the FILESTREAM feature to send and receive data incrementally with SQLPutData and SQLGetData.
For more information about the FILESTREAM feature, see FILESTREAM Support (ODBC).
Example
Before you compile and run this sample, enable FILESTREAM support (Enable and Configure FILESTREAM).
The first ( Transact-SQL) code listing creates a database used by this sample. Your instance of SQL Server must have write access to run this script (for example, log on as a local system account).
The second code listing is the C++ code. You must specify a server; in the C++ code listing, change "MyServer" to a valid server name. Make sure your INCLUDE environment variable includes the directory that contains sqlncli.h. Compile the C++ code listing with odbc32.lib, user32.lib, /D "_UNICODE", /D "UNICODE", odbc32.lib, and /EHsc.
The third ( Transact-SQL) code listing deletes the database used by this sample.
