Introduction
In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can create project planning lines for items that you need on a project. When a planned item has the Assemble-to-Order assembly policy, the program automatically creates an assembly order when you enter a quantity on a project planning line.
Assemble to project helps you improve inventory management by assembling to order only when required, and it provides other ways to help you customize projects.
