Stop font family

Overview

There isn't a lot of humor in type design, but the face called Stop makes up for it. In 1970 Nebiolo, the best known of the Italian foundries, came up with this design, which is irresistible. It's so irresistible, in fact, that every Tom, Dick, or Harry seems to have copied it with slight variations. We have gone back to the earliest use of the idea that we can find.
