Exempel 1
En IHV/OEM-enhet som tillhandahålls av Device MFT måste tillhandahålla en uppsättning kameraprofiler som stöds av den underliggande sensorn och Internetleverantören. Detta publiceras under device MFT:s IMFDeviceTransform::InitializeTransform()-metod.
De angivna kameraprofilerna måste anges i den anslutna transformeringens IMFAttributes-lager (det här är arkivet som pipelinefrågorna när pipelinen är helt konstruerad).
Det här exemplet är typiskt för ett fall där en IHV skickar ett enda referensdrivrutinspaket som aktiverade profiler, men OEM-tillverkare kan välja att koppla ihop kameramodulen med olika sensormoduler. I sådana fall, eftersom sensorerna kanske inte har samma funktioner, krävs en körningsuppdatering av profilerna. Detta görs av DMFT.

Exempel 2
I det här scenariot antar vi att IHV/OEM tillhandahöll en Sensor Group Transform (SGT), som syntetiserar medieflödet från flera fysiska enheter. Vi antar också att IHV tillhandahöll en enda referensimplementering för sina kameradrivrutiner för var och en av de fysiska enheterna (eventuellt från olika leverantörer), men OEM-tillverkaren (eller en annan IHV) har valt att koppla ihop kameradrivrutinen med olika sensorer och/eller INTERNETleverantör.
