Unity Gateway supports a range of coding agents across CLI, desktop, and IDE surfaces. Use this page to compare what each agent supports, then open its guide to connect it.

Support varies by agent and version, and this list grows over time. Run ug --help to see the coding agents the Unity Gateway CLI currently supports. A — means the capability is not documented for that agent yet—it may still work; confirm on the agent's page linked under Setup.

Capability definitions

  • Surface — where the agent runs, shown in parentheses after the agent name: CLI (terminal), Desktop, or IDE.
  • MCP servers — give your agent access to tools and data. ug cursor configures MCP access only; models run through your Cursor account.
  • Skills — reusable instructions for specific tasks and workflows.
