PipelineComponentInfo.ComponentType Property

Definition

Returns a DTSPipelineComponentType enumerator that identifies a component as a source, destination, or transformation. This property is read-only.

public:
 property Microsoft::SqlServer::Dts::Runtime::DTSPipelineComponentType ComponentType { Microsoft::SqlServer::Dts::Runtime::DTSPipelineComponentType get(); };
public Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.DTSPipelineComponentType ComponentType { get; }
member this.ComponentType : Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.DTSPipelineComponentType
Public ReadOnly Property ComponentType As DTSPipelineComponentType

Property Value

A value from the DTSPipelineComponentType enumerator.

Examples

The following code sample retrieves the information about the pipeline components from the PipelineComponentInfos collection. The sample iterates through the collection, and then prints the values for the properties in each PipelineComponentInfo, including the ComponentType.

This property identifies the component as a source, transformation, or destination component. The designer uses this attribute when grouping components in the Data Flow Items toolbox and organizes the items from top to bottom, sorting source components first, transformation components second, and destination components last.
