Unloads the specified application.

Parameters

appId: String

The unique identifier of the application to unload.

Exceptions

ArgumentNullException

appId is null.

Remarks

Calling the ShutdownApplication method is equivalent to calling the HostingEnvironment.InitiateShutdown method for a specific application domain; however, the ShutdownApplication method can be called from outside managed application domains.
