Browstat.exe: Browser Status Utility
This command-line tool is a general purpose character-based browser diagnostic tool. Use BrowStat to view the status of running browsers in Windows Server 2003 domains. This tool also provides information about the state of the browser, including the name of the master browser.
You can also find out which transports are on a computer. In this context, "transport" refers to the Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 network device name (case-insensitive) for a transport.

There is no corresponding user interface for this tool.
Concepts
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows XP Professional continue to support the browser service. The browser service identifies which resources, domains, and servers are available to a node on the network. It also provides interoperability with domains and computers that are not enabled to use the Active Directory directory service.
