Minecraft Education allows students not in the same physical location to collaborate in the same digital environment. Download the Minecraft Education Multiplayer Guide to get started hosting multiplayer worlds. For other resources and information about collaborative game play in Minecraft Education, visit the resources listed at the end of this module.

The Multiplayer Guide walks you step-by-step through the process of preparing your Make and Model world for students to join. If you haven't already, consider completing the Minecraft Teacher Academy learning path as it covers the basics of game play and how to host collaborative worlds.

Once you've opened the collaborative world, turned on hosting, and shared your join code with your students, it's time for your esports teams to compete. This video demonstrates how to operate the game controls in the world. You'll learn how to assign the team their building space, set the in-game timer and begin the game. Finally, you'll learn how to complete the voting and judging process to determine the winning team.
