SharePoint EULA and/or PUR

I had a question from a partner about where to find the SharePoint End User Licensing Agreement "EULA".

EULA is an old term and was used for SharePoint 2003.  Today, since Microsoft Server products can only be acquired through Volume Licensing, the usage rights for SharePoint are available from the Microsoft Volume Licensing website.  The key document is the Product Use Rights (PUR) document.  You can download and view the "PUR" from this site: https://www.microsoftvolumelicensing.com/userights/

The Product Use Rights (PUR) document is produced quarterly and provides information about the use rights for products currently offered under Microsoft Volume Licensing programs.

    Hi Ian, Are you absolutely sure that the only way to license MOSS 2007 or Windows Server (in order to run WSS-only) is through the volume license program? I'm certainly not questioning what you wrote, I just want to make sure there is absolutely no other way to license the products. In reading the second FAQ you provided, there is some mention of an ISV Royalty license and there is also mention of getting licenses as an MSDN subscriber. As you know, licensing has always been a confusing topic. Thanks, Ethan

    Ethan, The Windows Server does have a few options for licensing include OEM, System Builders and Online. Check out the How to Purchase Windows Server page at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/purchase.aspx Cheers Ian
