Touchlight

Now that Apple has annoucned their iPhone, theres a whole lot more interest in touch-based interfaces. Microsoft has done some good work here with products like the UMPC, but the really pioneering stuff comes from Microsoft Research, in a project called TouchLight.

If you're interested in some real-world applications on Vista using touch, check out the HP TouchSmart PC. It has three applications designed specifically for touch interaction. I guess Apple got the multi-touch interface into the market first (although technically it's not available yet).
