I just posted the screen saver source to Flitter here.

 

It is now entirely configurable, both for Flickr and Twitter. To install, right click on the .scr file and click Install.  Click the settings button from within the screen saver user interface to configure it. This runs ONLY on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista.  If you are on XP or Server, you'll need to download the .NET Framework: https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=10cc340b-f857-4a14-83f5-25634c3bf043&displaylang=en. 

This is definitely v.0.0.0.1.  Please provide feedback, issues, bugs and any thing else that comes to mind.

Note that I had to pull the Facebook integration (for now) because I am using a .NET wrapper to Facebook that hasn't been released just yet, but it is coming soon...

    That's too bad, I was really looking forward to seeing the facebook integration as I'm strugging to figure out how to log into facebook without launching a web browser. There's a VB.NET library out there so not sure why you had to pull the facebook code as I don't consider it all that top secret. Hopefully we'll see the full meal deal soon.

    To the folks asking about the Facebook part: I didn't use the VB.net wrapper, but a different wrapper that is going to be released shortly.  Can't give an exact date, but expect it in the next couple months. Oh, and my grandfather was from Poland.

    I know it's a beta product, but I'm seeing crashes as soon as soon as I press Preview on Vista 32-bit.

    Doesn't work correctly with dual screens. I am on Vista Home Premium 32-bit ...it displays correctly on the right screen, but the left screen hangs on the "loading..." screen. xxdesmus AT the google email service if you want to get a hold of me for any reason. This looks great, I'd love to get this working correctly on my dual screen.

    Tried installing this on my WinXPpro machine and keep getting an error when I right-click install. The error just asks me to send info to Microsoft. Any ideas...I'm putting together a conference and would love to use this.

    I tried downloading this and running the exe file in Windows Vista and it did not work.

    Hmmm. Maybe it would be a good programming exercise for a new programmer to make a Linux-version of this. Or not. Huumm. Sounds like an interesting screensaver though. :]

    On PIII laptop never gets past first base - "flitter has encountered an error and needs to close" - does this whether I run the .exe or try to run the screensaver or setup the screensaver.

    All you dudes on XP: it is probably crashing because you don't have the .NET Framework Version 3.0 installed.  (Note to self: need to build an installer for this thing!)
