Looking at BUILD Sessions
Well, it’s BUILD pre-day and getting ready for this week’s BUILD conference. For those of you attending (or even for those of you who are looking to track what’s happening), there’s a cool app that you can get on your Windows phone (Ch9 Events), which you can download and then use to “heart” the sessions you want to attend. This creates a personalized agenda for the week for you. You can then have your personalized agenda with you anywhere you go.
If you want to check out the week’s agenda, you can also go direct to the C9 site, where you can sign in and add your sessions there as well. If you click the List tab, you can then see all of the sessions listed; you can then click the +My Schedule link to add the sessions to your schedule. You can also filter the view with tags, speakers, level, and so on along the right-hand side of the page.
At first glance of the agenda, there are some really interesting sessions at BUILD. I’m seeing a ton of Mobile and Cloud sessions, and particularly interesting are ones that cover the following areas:
- Azure Media Services
- HDInsight
- Cross-Platform Mobile Development with C#
- XAML Futures
- ASP.NET Futures
- VS 2013 and VS Online
- Internet of Things
- Building apps with Bing
What’ll be interesting to see is how the above come together. With the increased focus on Mobile and Cloud (and more broadly Devices and Services), each of the above can be integrated in a number of ways to create Modern Apps.
And since C9 props most of the recordings post-conference, you’ll be able to catch a lot of the above at your own leisure—so nothing will be missed!
More to come!
Cheers,
Steve
